President & Principal Engineer

Vijay K. Jha is the President of Quartet Engineer’s PLLC and oversees all geotechnical engineering and construction material engineering activities. He is responsible for completing various studies and reports, designing projects, and preparing plans and specifications to ensure the success of the company’s projects. Additionally, he provides general management oversight to ensure that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Dr. Jha is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas and has over 20 years of Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing, Offshore & Onshore Civil Structural / Industrial Engineering, and Project Management experience in consulting and academic environments. He has experience in site feasibility studies, geotechnical field explorations, soils and other construction materials field and laboratory testing, data reduction, engineering analysis and design, shallow and deep foundation recommendations, slope stability analysis, seepage analysis, liquefaction analysis, design and analysis of retaining walls, soil nail walls, mechanically stabilized walls, rigid & flexible pavement design, and forensic engineering. He also has experience in onshore & offshore structural analysis & design calculations, lateral load calculations for oil & gas and refining process plants, offshore MCC Buildings on Floating and fixed Platforms, offshore skids, Blast analysis, Marine transportation, Loadout, industrial & commercial structures, residential buildings & bridge projects in accordance with all applicable codes and standards.
