To accomplish the intended objectives, the study was conducted in the following phases:
- Reconnaissance of the drilling site to examine the general site conditions and to mark the proposed boring locations.
- Drilling and sampling of soil samples to evaluate the subsurface soil and groundwater conditions.
- Perform laboratory tests on selected recovered soil samples to establish physical and engineering properties of subsurface soils.
- Compilation of field and laboratory test data for subsequent engineering analysis.
- Slope stability analysis
- Preparation of geotechnical engineering report presenting recommendations on the following:
- Construction site preparation recommendations.
- Estimation of potential soil movements associated with shrinking and swelling of soils.
- Soil parameters for retaining wall design and utilities lines.
- Recommendations on foundation types, depths, and allowable bearing capacities.
- Utilities (Water lines, Sanitary sewer lines and Storm sewer lines) bedding, and trench backfill recommendations.
- Trench safety system
- Pavement section design and pavement subgrade preparation recommendation
